Portobello Road is a light and airy cottage that feels secluded yet is just steps away from the buzz of Notting Hill’s fashionable restaurants and shops. The focus of attention was moved to the back of the house. A glass roof over the kitchen, previously a light well, now acts as a terrace to the master bedroom.

The living wall stretching up the back of the house is a clever design feature that brings life to a previously unused and uninspired space. A custom built contemporary timber and glass staircase, runs up the back of the property and is flooded with light from above, offering glimpses of the greenery outside.
